Life hasn’t been all muffins and lattes, well, actually it kinda has as they are two of my emotional support devices. Everyone has their challenges and vices to help them through those times. Cooking is my go-to that gets me through anything.
Whether it’s chopping vegetables as a form of meditation, or taking styled food pictures as art therapy, this is what puts a smile on my face. Cooking is art, art is cooking, and I believe if it is approached in that way, then it feels less like a chore and more like something soulful. And you get to eat the results, so that’s an automatic win-win in my book.
I don’t always reach for a sweet treat to get me by. I love digging into a big bowl of savory noodles – like the peanut noodles pictured here, or a garlicy pomodoro sauce, I’m not picky. Both of these comforting noodle dishes can be found in What’s in the Fridge? cookbooks. But if you have a sweet tooth, I have plenty of options for you in my cookbooks and seasonal recipe packets.
No matter what's happening in my world, my motto always is, “At least the food is good.” My cookbooks and recipe packets have easy recipes that you can make no matter what chaos might be swirling around you. Life is hard, my recipes are not!
Happy Cooking!
Jill
